Witness on Wheels - Scripture Decals for Vehicles, Windows, Walls and more
About Us
Mission Statement: "Pushing Back to regain the faith of our founding fathers."
Slogan: "Push Back"
The W.O.W. Movement was created to "Push Back" against all that are trying to remove God from our society. Witness On Wheels started with our founder, Elena Rahrig, in May 2009. Since then W.O.W. has become many people working together to "Push Back". In the fall of 2009 we formed our National Executive Board. Our board consists of Elena Rahrig - Founder/CEO, Jennifer D. Thompson - President, Rian Griffith - Secretary, Missy Stuber - Treasurer, and Pastor Aaron Griffith - Member's President.
Throughout the year W.O.W. holds many events to bring God back to the surface of our society. Our first event, The Witness 5K Walk/Run, was held on September 12, 2009. We had a total of 64 people in the streets of downtown Lima running for Jesus. Each participant received a t-shirt that stated both "In God We Trust" and "One Nation Under God". Everyone had a great time and our goal to glorify God was met!
Our next project was to raise money to put up a billboard for the Christmas season. W.O.W. and its members are tired of the true meaning of Christmas being ignored. Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. So many people are trying to change it to be about Santa Clause, Mistletoes and Presents. Stores are refusing to say "Merry Christmas" and have replace it with "Happy Holidays". Witness On Wheels and its members have had enough! We were able to raise enough money through means of sponsorships and donations to put uip a billboard on Easttown Rd, (between Allentown and Elida Rd), from November 15, 2009 to January 15, 2010. Our billboard says "Happy Birthday Jesus!".
On December 5, 2009 W.O.W. held Jesus' Birthday Party. There were no Christmas decorations and we left Santa Clause at the North Pole! Jesus finally received the birthday party that he deserves. His birthday party was just like the one that we, the people, enjoy for our own birthdays. We had about 145 attendees. We served pizza, appetizers, and pop for dinner, everyone recieved their own cupcake with a candle to blow out after we sang the Happy Birthday song to Jesus, Pastor Aaron Griffith blessed us with a 15 minute sermon on the birth of Christ, we had a special nativity interaction with the children, raffle drawings - one for children and one for the adults, sand art, blow up bouncy jump, pinatas, and lots of fun games! The tickets for this event sold for $5 per person with children 3 and under being free. If you were unable to attend this year we hope to see you for this annual party in the year 2010!
